Peshitta employs periphrastic construction ܡܠܦ ܗܘܐ (participle + auxiliary 'was teaching'), semantically equivalent but syntactically distinct. Vulgate adds explicit object pronoun eos ('them'), making the audience explicit where Greek and Peshitta leave it implied, and repositions the verb after the locative phrase rather than as sentence-final.
