The Clementine Vulgate inserts an explicit colon before the vocative to mark the onset of direct speech; neither the Greek nor the Syriac transmits a discrete punctuation token here, the speech boundary being conveyed lexically.

The Greek middle aorist ἐφυλαξάμην ('I kept for myself') connotes a reflexive nuance of self-interested observance; both the Syriac ܢܛܪܬ and the Latin observavi render a plain active 'I kept/observed,' losing the middle-voice colouring that the Greek attaches to law-keeping here.

Syriac supplies an explicit feminine-plural pronominal object ܐܢܝܢ ('them') resuming ܟܠܗܝܢ, a typical Aramaic resumptive object-marker; Greek and Latin leave the object unexpressed within the verb.

Greek and Latin express the possessive analytically with noun plus genitive pronoun (νεότητός μου / juventute mea), whereas Syriac compresses the phrase into a single word ܛܠܝܘܬܝ bearing a suffixed first-person possessive ('my youth'), a synthetic morphological strategy equivalent in sense.
