Greek γέγραπται is a single synthetic perfect passive ('it has been written'); the Vulgate renders it analytically with scriptum est (participle + copula), the standard Latin periphrasis for the Greek perfect passive, while the Syriac ܕܟܬܝܒ likewise compresses the idea into one passive participle.

Greek and Latin both express 'in Isaiah' with a preposition + article + proper name (ἐν τῷ Ἠσαΐᾳ / in Isaia); Syriac fuses the preposition into a single prefixed form ܒܐܫܥܝܐ, omitting any article, as is normal in Syriac proper-name syntax.

Greek repeats the article before προφήτῃ (τῷ προφήτῃ, 'the prophet') yielding the appositional 'in Isaiah the prophet'; both the Vulgate (propheta) and the Peshitta (ܢܒܝܐ) render the apposition without any article, since neither Latin nor Syriac employs the Greek-style anaphoric article here.

The colon (·/:) after 'prophet' marks the introduction of the citation in both the Greek and Latin punctuation; the Peshitta text as transmitted carries no corresponding punctuation token, the citation boundary being left implicit.

Greek and Latin use a finite present indicative (ἀποστέλλω / mitto, 'I send'); Syriac employs the participle ܡܫܕܪ with the independent pronoun ܐܢܐ following, the standard Syriac periphrastic present which yields a word-order divergence (verb-then-pronoun) relative to the Greek.

Greek and Latin express 'my messenger/angel' analytically with article and possessive (τὸν ἄγγελόν μου / angelum meum); Syriac uses the synthetic suffixed form ܡܠܐܟܝ ('my messenger'), absorbing the possessive into the noun and dispensing with any article.

Greek πρὸ προσώπου σου and Latin ante faciem tuam both preserve the Semitic idiom 'before your face'; the Syriac ܩܕܡ ܦܪܨܘܦܟ likewise retains 'before your face' with the suffixed possessive, all three reflecting the Hebrew לְפָנֶיךָ of Mal 3:1/Exod 23:20.

Greek and Latin use a relative clause with a finite future verb (ὃς κατασκευάσει / qui præparabit, 'who will prepare'); Syriac collapses this into the single subordinated verb ܕܢܬܩܢ ('that he may prepare/establish'), a relative-final construction without an explicit relative pronoun.

Greek ἔμπροσθέν σου ('before you') is echoed by the Vulgate ante te, but the Peshitta lacks any corresponding phrase here; this final pleonastic clause is text-critically secondary in Mark (absent from key Greek witnesses) and the Syriac omission reflects the shorter, non-doubled form of the conflated Malachi/Exodus citation.
