The Greek opens with καί followed by a genitive absolute; the Syriac ܘܒܗ ('and in it') fuses the conjunction with a temporal pronominal phrase, while the Vulgate begins with Et leading into a cum-clause. The conjunction itself is common to all three.

Greek employs a genitive absolute (εἰπόντος αὐτοῦ, 'when he had spoken'), which the Vulgate renders with the subordinate cum dixisset; the Syriac has no explicit verb of speaking here, having absorbed the temporal sense into the prefatory ܘܒܗ ܒܫܥܬܐ ('and at that very hour').

Greek εὐθύς and Latin statim are single adverbs ('immediately'); the Syriac expresses the same immediacy periphrastically with ܒܫܥܬܐ ('in the hour'), idiomatically bound to the preceding ܘܒܗ to yield 'at that very moment'.

Greek marks the subject with the feminine article (ἡ λέπρα); the Vulgate lepra and Syriac ܓܪܒܗ both lack an article, and the Syriac further adds a 3ms pronominal suffix ('his leprosy'), explicitly personalising the affliction whereas Greek and Latin leave possession implicit.

The coordinating καί / et linking the two clauses is present in Greek and Latin; in the Syriac the conjunction is prefixed to the following verb (ܘܐܬܕܟܝ), so it is not a separate token but morphologically attached.
