Greek aorist participle ἐξελθόντες ('having gone forth') is rendered by the Vulgate with a deponent perfect participle profecti and by the Peshitta with a finite preterite ܢܦܩܘ ('they went out'); the Syriac dissolves the Greek participial subordination into a coordinated finite verb, a typical Semitic preference for paratactic chaining.

The single Greek adverb πανταχοῦ ('everywhere') and the Latin ubique are expressed analytically in Syriac by the prepositional phrase ܒܟܠ ܕܘܟܐ ('in every place'); Syriac lacks a one-word equivalent and must periphrase the locative adverb.

The Greek genitive-absolute participle συνεργοῦντος and the Latin ablative-absolute cooperante render a tight subordinate clause, whereas the Peshitta employs a finite periphrastic construction ܡܥܕܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܘܢ ('was helping them') with an explicit dative pronoun ܠܗܘܢ supplying the object 'them' that is only implicit in the Greek and Latin.

Greek τὸν λόγον ('the word', singular with article) and Latin sermonem are matched by the Peshitta ܡܠܝܗܘܢ ('their words'), which is plural and carries a possessive suffix; the Syriac thus particularises the message as belonging to the preachers, a slight semantic shift from the abstract τὸν λόγον.

Greek expresses instrumentality with διὰ + genitive plus the attributive participle ἐπακολουθούντων ('through the accompanying signs'); the Vulgate uses a bare ablative absolute sequentibus signis, while the Peshitta renders 'with signs that they were doing' (ܒܐܬܘܬܐ ܕܥܒܕܝܢ ܗܘܘ), substituting the verb ʿ-b-d ('to do/perform') and a relative clause for the Greek 'following/accompanying' participle — a semantic shift from signs that follow to signs actively performed.

The closing ἀμήν, here transmitted within the longer ending of Mark (16:9–20) and marked editorially as doubtful by the double brackets, is absent from both the Vulgate and the Peshitta as presented; this colophon-like 'Amen' is a liturgical addition not consistently attested across the textual witnesses of the long ending.
