Greek δέχεται is a single finite verb; the Syriac employs the periphrastic ܗܘ ܡܩܒܠ (independent pronoun + participle) to express the present, and the Vulgate adds a colon as discourse punctuation marking the apodosis. All convey the same indicative sense.

Greek ὃς ἂν ('whoever') and Latin quicumble are matched in the Syriac by the conjunction-bearing relative ܘܡܢ ('and who'), where the connective ܘ was grouped with the preceding ܘܡܢ; the indefinite-relative force is preserved in all three.
