Greek uses the substantivised article οἱ ('they/the ones'), Syriac the independent demonstrative pronoun ܗܢܘܢ, and the Vulgate a relative pronoun Qui that subordinates the entire clause. All three resume the subject of the preceding verse but through distinct syntactic means.
