All three attest the aorist/perfect participle of 'rising' (ἀναστὰς / ܩܡ / Surgens), but the Peshitta postpones the verb of rising to fourth position, placing the temporal phrase 'in the morning, on the first of the week' at the head of the clause. Greek and Latin lead with the participle, a stylistic reordering with no semantic effect.

Greek ἐφάνη and Latin apparuit are simplex finite verbs ('he appeared'); the Peshitta ܘܐܬܚܙܝ prefixes the conjunction waw ('and he appeared') and uses the ethpaʿel (passive/reflexive) of kh-z-y, giving a coordinated rather than asyndetic clause.

Greek attaches the feminine article τῇ before the epithet Μαγδαληνῇ ('the Magdalene'); Latin Magdalene and the Syriac ܡܓܕܠܝܬܐ render the epithet without an article, Syriac employing its characteristic gentilic adjective formation. The article is purely a Greek syntactic feature with no semantic weight.

The relative construction 'from whom' (παρ᾽ ἧς / de qua) is expressed by the preposition plus genitive relative pronoun in Greek and Latin. The Peshitta splits the equivalent across the demonstrative-relative ܗܝ ('that [one], who') at the head of the clause and the resumptive prepositional pronoun ܡܢܗ ('from her') at the very end, a typical Syriac double-headed relative pattern.

Greek ἐκβεβλήκει is a single pluperfect ('he had cast out'), as is Latin ejecerat. The Peshitta forms the past-perfect periphrastically with the perfect ܐܦܩ (n-p-q, 'cast out') plus the auxiliary ܗܘܐ (h-w-a, 'was'), the standard Syriac analytic equivalent of the pluperfect.
