EN and the cares of this age, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

ES Mas los cuidados de este siglo, y el engaño de las riquezas, y las codicias que hay en las otras cosas, entrando, ahogan la palabra, y se hace infructuosa.

ZH-HANS 后来有世上的思虑、钱财的迷惑,和别样的私欲进来,把道挤住了,就不能结实。

Greek NT αἱ μέριμναι
Peshitta ܘܪܢܝܐ
Vulgate ærumnæ

Greek has the plural αἱ μέριμναι ('the cares', N-NPF) with article; the Vulgate matches with plural ærumnæ ('toils, troubles'), but the Peshitta ܘܪܢܝܐ (from root r-n-y, 'thought, anxiety') is morphologically singular/collective and fused with the conjunction, a typical Syriac handling of abstract plurals.

Greek NT τοῦ αἰῶνος τούτου
Peshitta ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ
Vulgate sæculi

Greek τοῦ αἰῶνος τούτου ('of this age') with demonstrative is matched by Peshitta ܕܥܠܡܐ ܗܢܐ ('of this world'), preserving the demonstrative ܗܢܐ; the Vulgate sæculi omits any equivalent of τούτου ('this'), reading simply 'of the age/world'.

Greek NT ἡ ἀπάτη
Peshitta ܘܛܘܥܝܝ
Vulgate deceptio

Greek ἡ ἀπάτη ('the deceit', with article) and Latin deceptio render the noun; the Peshitta ܛܘܥܝܝ (root T-e-y, 'error, deception, going astray') carries a nuance of 'leading astray' rather than the more passive 'deceit/illusion' of the Greek, an idiomatic lexical shift.

Greek NT αἱ περὶ τὰ λοιπὰ ἐπιθυμίαι
Peshitta ܕܪܓܝܓܬܐ ܐܚܪܢܝܬܐ
Vulgate circa reliqua concupiscentiæ

Greek αἱ περὶ τὰ λοιπὰ ἐπιθυμίαι ('the desires concerning the other things') uses an articular prepositional attribute; the Vulgate mirrors this with circa reliqua concupiscentiæ, whereas the Peshitta restructures as ܫܪܟܐ ܕܪܓܝܓܬܐ ܐܚܪܢܝܬܐ ('the remainder of other lusts'), making λοιπά the head noun rather than an attributive object — a construction-level recasting.

Greek NT τὸν λόγον
Peshitta ܠܗ ܠܡܠܬܐ
Vulgate verbum

Greek τὸν λόγον and Latin verbum present the simple accusative object; the Peshitta employs a proleptic resumptive pronoun ܠܗ ('it') anticipating ܠܡܠܬܐ ('the word'), a characteristic Syriac double-object construction that marks the definite direct object and has no equivalent in the Greek or Latin.

Greek NT ἄκαρπος
Peshitta ܘܕܠܐ ܦܐܪܐ
Vulgate sine fructu

Greek uses the single adjective ἄκαρπος ('unfruitful'); both the Vulgate (sine fructu, 'without fruit') and the Peshitta (ܘܕܠܐ ܦܐܪܐ, 'and without fruit') render this periphrastically with a privative prepositional phrase rather than a one-word negated adjective.
