Greek employs a genitive absolute ἐξελθόντων αὐτῶν ('when they went out') with explicit pronominal subject; Latin uses a cum-clause with imperfect subjunctive cum exirent; Syriac uses the subordinating particle ܟܕ plus the perfect ܢܦܩ (root n-p-q) without an expressed plural pronoun, the subject being supplied by context.
