Greek λέγω is a synthetic first-person verb; Syriac analytically renders the predicate with participle ܐܡܪ plus the independent pronoun ܐܢܐ ('I'), a standard Syriac periphrasis for the present, while the Vulgate dico matches the Greek synthetic form.

All three attest the passive 'will be forgiven' (ἀφεθήσεται / ܢܫܬܒܩܘܢ / dimittentur); Syriac word order differs in that the verb is deferred to the clause end, reflecting its preference for placing the main verb after the subject-objects.

Greek and Latin render the Semitism 'sons of men' with explicit articles and genitive (τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώπων / filiis hominum); the Syriac construct chain ܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ preserves the original idiom without articulation. The Syriac also positions this phrase after the objects rather than after the verb.

Greek uses the articulated plural neuter τὰ ἁμαρτήματα; both the Vulgate (peccata) and Syriac (ܚܛܗܐ) render the plural without an article, the Syriac employing the cognate root kh-T-a corresponding to Hebrew חָטָא.
