Greek ὅτι and Latin quoniam introduce the recitative/indirect statement ('that'); Syriac uses no separate conjunction here, the relative particle on ܕܢܦܩ ('that which goes forth') carrying the subordination instead.

Greek substantivises with the neuter article τό ('that which'), Latin with the relative pronoun quæ; Syriac employs the indefinite noun ܡܕܡ ('something, that which'), a typical Syriac strategy for an abstract subject construction.

Greek uses the present participle ἐκπορευόμενον and Latin the finite plural exeunt ('go out'); Syriac renders with a finite relative verb ܕܢܦܩ ('that which goes forth'), a construction shift from participle to relative clause that is semantically equivalent.

Greek demonstrative ἐκεῖνο and Latin illa ('that [thing]') resume the subject emphatically; the Peshitta doubles the pronoun ܗܘ ܗܘ, a characteristic Syriac construction marking strong subject focus ('that very thing, it is what...').

Greek κοινοῖ and Latin communicant both mean 'renders common/defiles' (cf. Levitical purity language); Syriac ܡܣܝܒ from the root s-y-b conveys 'defiles, pollutes' directly, without the 'make common' nuance of the Greek and Latin.
