Greek γρηγορεῖτε is a present imperative ('keep watching'); the Syriac ܘܐܬܬܥܝܪܘ is an Ettaphal/reflexive form from the root th-e-r ('rouse oneself, be awake') prefixed with the conjunction, fusing the 'and watch' clause into one verb, while the Latin vigilate matches the simple imperative sense.
