Greek NT εἰς τὸ πλοῖον
Peshitta ܠܣܦܝܢܬܐ
Vulgate in navim

Greek εἰς τὸ πλοῖον and Latin in navim render 'into the boat' with preposition plus noun; Syriac ܠܣܦܝܢܬܐ uses the dative-locative ܠ- prefix on the noun alone, a normal Syriac construction lacking a separate article.

Greek NT λίαν ἐκ περισσοῦ
Peshitta ܘܛܒ
Vulgate plus magis

Greek piles up an emphatic intensifier λίαν ἐκ περισσοῦ ('exceedingly beyond measure'); Latin renders this with plus magis, while Syriac compresses it to the single adverb ܛܒ ('greatly'), losing the redundant doubling characteristic of Markan emphasis.

Greek NT (he'autois)
Peshitta ܡܬܕܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ
Vulgate stupebant

Greek ἐξίσταντο (imperfect) and Latin stupebant render the durative 'were amazed'; Syriac uses a periphrastic participle plus auxiliary ܡܬܕܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ to express the same continuous past aspect, an idiomatic Syriac equivalent of the Greek imperfect.

Greek NT ἐξίσταντο καὶ
Peshitta ܘܬܗܝܪܝܢ

Greek attests a second coordinate verb καὶ ἐθαύμαζον ('and marvelled'), doubling the verbs of astonishment; the Vulgate omits this entirely, while Syriac renders only a single coordinated participle ܘܬܗܝܪܝܢ ('and astonished'), so neither version preserves the full Greek verbal pair.
