The Peshitta adds the indefinite numeral ܚܕܐ ('one, a certain'), functioning as an indefinite article to mark the woman as 'a certain woman.' Neither the Greek anarthrous γυνή nor the Latin Mulier requires this explicitation, which is characteristic Syriac idiom.

Greek uses a single imperfect εἶχεν ('had'), while the Peshitta employs a periphrastic construction ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܬ ('there was, existed to her') expressing possession with the existential particle plus the auxiliary; the Vulgate's habebat matches the Greek finite verb directly.

Greek uses the diminutive θυγάτριον ('little daughter') with article and possessive pronoun, whereas the Vulgate filia and Peshitta ܠܒܪܬܗ render the plain noun 'daughter'; the affectionate diminutive nuance of the Markan original is lost in both versions.

Greek renders 'having come' with the aorist participle ἐλθοῦσα; the Peshitta uses a coordinated finite verb ܘܐܬܬ ('and she came'), and the Vulgate likewise resolves it into a finite verb with conjunction (intravit, et), employing intravit ('entered') rather than a generic verb of coming.
