The Greek purpose conjunction ἵνα + subjunctive σιωπήσῃ and the Latin ut + subjunctive taceret are matched in Syriac by the prefixed ܕ on ܕܢܫܬܘܩ, a single inflected form embedding both the subordinating particle and the verb. The notional content is identical though the morphology differs.

Greek πολλῷ μᾶλλον and Latin multo magis form a two-word comparative phrase ('much more'); the Peshitta compresses this into the single adverb ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ('exceedingly, all the more'), a lexical rather than syntactic equivalence.

Greek ἔκραζεν and Latin clamabat render the cry with a single imperfect verb; the Peshitta uses a periphrastic ܩܥܐ ܗܘܐ and additionally supplies ܘܐܡܪ ('and said') to introduce the following direct speech, a characteristic Syriac discourse marker absent in Greek and Latin.

Greek ἐλέησόν με takes the accusative direct object με, and Latin miserere mei the genitive mei after the verb of pity; Syriac ܐܬܪܚܡ ܥܠܝ uses the prepositional phrase 'have mercy upon me' (ܥܠ + suffix). All three express the same petition with differing case/preposition government.
