Greek βασιλεία ('kingdom') and Latin regnum are exact equivalents; the Peshitta ܡܠܟܘ (malkū, root m-l-k) likewise denotes 'kingdom/reign' but is here joined by the prefixed conjunction waw (ܘ-), absorbing the preceding καί/et into the same orthographic word — a routine Syriac scribal habit with no semantic effect.

Greek punctuates the clause boundary and follows with καί ('and'); the Vulgate splits this region with the comma after regnum and the connective et, while the Peshitta encodes the conjunction in the prefixed waw of the following verb form — three equivalent ways of marking coordination.

Greek ἔσονται (future of εἰμί, 'there will be') is matched by Latin erunt; the Peshitta uses the prefix-conjugation ܘܢܗܘܘܢ (we-nehwōn, root h-w-w) which carries both the future-jussive sense and the prefixed conjunction, condensing the Greek καί + ἔσονται into a single inflected form.

Greek κατὰ τόπους ('throughout [various] places') and Latin per loca render a distributive sense with preposition + plural noun; the Peshitta expresses distribution by reduplication, ܒܕܘܟܐ ܕܘܟܐ ('place by place'), an idiomatic Syriac construction that fuses the preposition into the first member of the doubled noun.

The Greek repeats καὶ ἔσονται ('and there will be') to introduce the second list of calamities, and the Vulgate matches with et; the Peshitta again compresses conjunction and verb into the single prefix-conjugation form ܘܢܗܘܘܢ, characteristic of Syriac economy.

Greek ὠδίνων ('of birth-pangs', genitive plural) and Latin dolorum ('of sorrows') both render the metaphor of labour pains; the Peshitta ܕܚܒܠܐ (de-ḥeblā, root kh-b-l) likewise means 'of birth-travail', the prefixed de- marking the genitive relation — semantically equivalent though Latin generalises the image to 'pains/sorrows'.

Greek ταῦτα ('these [are]') and Latin hæc are simple demonstratives; the Peshitta renders the predication analytically with the fronted demonstrative ܗܠܝܢ ('these') plus the enclitic pronoun ܐܢܝܢ ('they are'), supplying an explicit copula that Greek and Latin leave to be understood.
