Greek and Latin render the action of departure with an aoristic/present participle (ἀπελθών / abiens, 'having gone away'); the Peshitta expresses the same circumstantial action as a coordinated finite verb ܘܐܙܠ ('and he went'), which has been aligned together with the conjunction at index 0. This is a typical Syriac avoidance of the Greek participial periphrasis in favour of parataxis.

Greek τὸν αὐτὸν λόγον and Latin eumdem sermonem both employ an explicit reflexive/identifying adjective ('the same word'); the Peshitta renders the sense of identity with the resumptive pronominal suffix on ܘܗܝ ('that word of his / the same'), a construction that lacks a discrete lexeme for 'same' but achieves equivalent anaphoric force.
