Greek ἄγωμεν is a first-person plural hortatory subjunctive ('let us go'), matched by the Latin subjunctive eamus; the Syriac ܢܐܙܠ is a third/first-person imperfect functioning cohortatively but morphologically distinct from the Greek volitive form. The sense ('let us go') is equivalent across all three.

The Clementine Vulgate inserts a colon after eamus, dividing the verse into the exhortation and the announcement of the betrayer. Neither the Greek nor the Syriac transmit a corresponding mid-verse punctuation marker, though all reflect the same syntactic break (Greek uses a raised dot · after ἄγωμεν).

Greek expresses the betrayer with an articular present participle ὁ παραδιδούς ('the one betraying'), conveying ongoing/imminent action; the Vulgate renders this with a relative clause and a future tense, qui me tradet ('who will betray me'); the Syriac ܗܘ ܕܡܫܠܡ uses a demonstrative plus participial relative ('he who delivers up'). The constructions are syntactically distinct but functionally equivalent.

Greek uses the perfect ἤγγικεν ('has drawn near', G1448, root for 'to approach') stressing a completed nearing; the Syriac ܩܪܒ (root q-r-b) is likewise a verb of approach but placed earlier in the clause for emphasis (word-order divergence); the Vulgate paraphrases with the adverbial predicate prope est ('is near'), substituting an adjectival construction for the Greek finite verb.
