Greek ἐξ ἀνθρώπων and Latin ex hominibus use a simple plural noun ('from men'); the Syriac employs the Semitic construct idiom ܡܢ ܒܢܝ ܐܢܫܐ ('from the sons of men'), the characteristic periphrasis for humankind.
