Greek καί and Latin et are the simple connective 'and/also'; the Peshitta intensifies with ܘܐܦ ('and even/also'), a slightly emphatic adverbial pairing that heightens the contrast introduced in the apodosis.

Greek uses the neuter relative pronoun ὅ ('what'); the Vulgate matches with quod, while the Peshitta employs the indefinite noun ܡܕܡ ('the thing/somewhat') followed by the relative clause, a typical Syriac periphrasis for a relative substantive.
