Greek πολλά is an adverbial accusative neuter plural ('much, strictly'); the Vulgate vehementer ('vehemently, strongly') interprets it adverbially in the same emphatic direction, while Syriac ܣܓܝ ('much, greatly', root s-g-a) renders it with a generic quantitative adverb. The traditions agree on intensification but differ in the precise adverbial shading.

Greek μηδείς is a single negative pronoun ('no one'); Syriac analyses it into the negator ܕܠܐ plus the indefinite ܐܢܫ ('that not... anyone'), an idiomatic Semitic decomposition of the negative pronoun, while the Vulgate nemo matches the Greek synthetic form. The split of one Greek token across two Syriac tokens is purely structural.

Greek and Syriac use a demonstrative ('this', τοῦτο / ܗܕܐ) as the direct object of the verb of knowing; the Vulgate id ('it') employs the weaker anaphoric pronoun rather than a full demonstrative, a slight lexical softening. The Latin also places the object before the verb (id sciret) whereas Greek follows the verb.

The Vulgate inserts a colon before the second clause (et dixit), marking the syntactic break between the command to secrecy and the instruction to feed the girl. Neither the Greek nor the Syriac transmit a corresponding punctuation token here, the Greek using only a comma after τοῦτο.

Greek δοθῆναι is an aorist passive infinitive ('to be given') governed impersonally by εἶπεν, and the Vulgate dari mirrors this with a passive infinitive; the Syriac ܕܢܬܠܘܢ recasts the construction actively as a finite subjunctive with an indefinite third-plural subject ('that they should give'), a typical Syriac avoidance of the impersonal passive (construction divergence).
