Greek ὑπερπερισσῶς ('beyond all measure') is a single intensive adverb; the Vulgate renders it analytically with eo amplius ('the more'), while the Syriac ܘܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ('and exceedingly') fuses the preceding καί and the adverb into one prefixed word. The divergence is purely one of intensifier construction, not meaning.

Greek imperfect ἐξεπλήσσοντο ('they were astonished') is matched in Latin by admirabantur, but Syriac employs the periphrastic ܡܬܕܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ (participle plus enclitic ܗܘܘ), a typical Syriac construction expressing durative past action.

Greek λέγοντες and Syriac ܘܐܡܪܝܢ are participial; the Syriac additionally prefixes the conjunction (waw). The Vulgate dicentes is followed by an editorial colon token, reflecting Clementine punctuation introducing direct speech.

Greek καλῶς and Latin Bene stand at the head of the clause, whereas Syriac ܫܦܝܪ follows its object phrase; this reflects differing default placement of the manner-adverb relative to the verb across the traditions.

Greek πάντα ('all things', neuter plural) and Latin omnia are single words, while Syriac expresses the same notion with the analytic phrase ܕܟܠ ܡܕܡ ('everything', literally 'of all thing'), the standard Syriac idiom for the universal neuter.

Greek uses the perfect πεποίηκεν ('he has done'), emphasising completed action with present result; both Latin fecit and Syriac ܥܒܕ are simple preterites, neither preserving the resultative force of the Greek perfect.

Greek uses article plus substantivised adjective τοὺς κωφούς ('the deaf'); both the Latin surdos and the Syriac ܠܚܪܫܐ render this anarthrously with the object marker, the Syriac prefixing the preposition lamadh to mark the direct object.

Greek and Latin use the bare infinitive (ἀκούειν / audire) as complement of 'makes'; Syriac instead employs a finite subjunctive clause ܕܢܫܡܥܘܢ ('that they should hear'), the characteristic Syriac substitute for the Greek complementary infinitive.

Greek τοὺς ἀλάλους ('the mute') is rendered by Latin mutos and by the Syriac relative construction ܘܕܠܐ ܡܡܠܠܝܢ ('and those who do not speak'), the Peshitta paraphrasing the adjective with a negated participial clause.

Greek and Latin again use the infinitive (λαλεῖν / loqui), while Syriac repeats its finite-clause strategy with ܕܢܡܠܠܘܢ ('that they should speak'); the Greek paragraph marker (¶) is editorial and has no counterpart in the other witnesses.
