Greek uses a finite aorist ἀπῆλθον ('they departed'); the Vulgate renders it with a present participle abeuntes ('going away'), a construction-level shift to a circumstantial clause. The Peshitta ܘܐܙܠܘ ('and they went') likewise finite, sharing its conjunction with the preceding καί so that index 0 covers both connective and verb.

The Greek connective pair δὲ καὶ ('and indeed/now also') is a typical Markan polysyndeton not represented in either the Vulgate or the Peshitta, both of which compress the double conjunction into a single coordinating link. The omission is stylistic rather than semantic.

Greek πρὸς τὴν θύραν uses preposition + article + accusative; the Vulgate ante januam and the Peshitta ܥܠ ܬܪܥܐ ('at/upon the door') drop the article (absent in Syriac and unneeded in Latin) and select prepositions of slightly different spatial nuance ('before' vs. 'upon'), a routine idiomatic adjustment.

Greek ἐπὶ τοῦ ἀμφόδου ('on the street/around the block') is rendered by the Vulgate as in bivio ('at the crossroads/fork'), a lexical specification of the rare term ἄμφοδον; the Peshitta ܒܫܘܩܐ ('in the marketplace/street') chooses yet another lexeme, none of the three being precisely synonymous though all denote the public way.

The Vulgate inserts editorial punctuation (a colon) marking the clause boundary before the second verb; neither the Greek nor the Syriac transmits such a stop, this being a Clementine editorial feature.

Greek and Latin coordinate the final clause with simple καί / et ('and'); the Peshitta employs ܘܟܕ ('and when'), introducing a temporal subordination absent in the other witnesses and slightly altering the syntactic relationship of the untying to the finding.
