Syriac compresses the entire phrase into a single inflected form ܒܫܡܝ ('in my name'), incorporating the preposition, noun, and first-person suffix synthetically.

Greek and Latin use a present active participle (λέγοντες / dicentes, 'saying'); the Peshitta renders the circumstance with a coordinated finite verb ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ('and they will say'), a typical Syriac paratactic substitute for the Greek participial construction.

Greek ὅτι and Latin quia both function as recitative markers introducing direct speech ('that' = quotation opener). The Syriac encodes this recitative function within the relative-clitic prefix on ܕܐܢܐ rather than as a separate token, so no independent conjunction is present.

Greek πολλούς and Latin multos stand as independent accusative objects ('many'); the Syriac fuses the conjunction, the directive/object preposition ܠ, and the adjective into the single form ܘܠܣܓܝܐܐ ('and many'), marking the object with the lamadh-prefix characteristic of Syriac definite or animate objects.
