Greek σταυροῦσιν and Latin crucifigunt are independent finite verbs (3rd plural present), whereas Syriac ܘܙܩܦܘ fuses the conjunction 'and' with the perfect verb 'they crucified' in a single inflected form, hence its index also serves the conjunction group.

Greek ἕνα and Syriac ܚܕ both render 'one'; the Vulgate likewise uses unum here but later switches to alium for the second member, where Greek and Syriac repeat the cardinal 'one' (ἕνα / ܘܚܕ).

Greek καί and Vulgate et are standalone conjunctions, whereas Syriac prefixes the conjunction proclitically onto ܘܚܕ ('and-one'), so the same single Syriac token carries both the conjunction and the cardinal.

Greek repeats the cardinal ἕνα ('one') and Syriac likewise repeats ܚܕ within the fused ܘܚܕ form, but the Vulgate elegantly varies the diction with alium ('the other'), a stylistic Latin preference for avoiding repetition.

Greek αὐτοῦ and Vulgate ejus ('of him') supply an explicit possessive qualifying the left side; the Syriac attaches the 3rd masculine singular pronominal suffix directly to ܣܡܠܗ ('his left'), so the possession is morphologically embedded rather than expressed as a separate token.
