Greek expresses the imperative with a single synthetic aorist form (σῶσον); the Vulgate renders it analytically with the adjective + auxiliary periphrasis salvum fac ('make safe'), a characteristic Latin idiom. The Peshitta ܦܨܐ likewise uses a single imperative, semantically equivalent across all three.

Greek and Syriac coordinate the two clauses explicitly with καί / ܘ ('and') prefixed to the descent verb; the Vulgate omits any conjunction, instead subordinating the action through a participle (descendens). The Syriac coordinating waw is fused to the verb ܚܘܬ.

Greek uses an aorist participle (καταβάς, 'having come down'), matched by the Latin present participle descendens; the Peshitta employs a finite imperative ܚܘܬ ('come down!'), making the second clause a true coordinate command rather than a circumstantial participle. The Syriac waw and verb were segmented together at index 2.

The Greek definite article τοῦ before σταυροῦ has no formal counterpart in either the Vulgate (which lacks articles entirely) or the Syriac, where the emphatic state ܙܩܝܦܐ inherently conveys definiteness. This is a routine structural difference rather than a textual variant.
