Greek διὰ παντός ('continually, through all [time]') is rendered by the Vulgate with the single adverb semper, while the Peshitta expands to ܘܒܟܠ ܙܒܢ ('and at all time/season'), explicitly supplying the noun 'time' (root z-b-n) implicit in the Greek substantival adjective. The Syriac ܟܠ is also bundled into token 0 with the conjunction.

All three attest 'night,' but the order differs: Greek and Syriac present night before day (νυκτὸς καὶ ἡμέρας / ܒܠܠܝܐ ܘܒܐܝܡܡܐ), whereas the Vulgate inverts to die ac nocte ('day and night'), a Latin stylistic preference that constitutes a minor word-order transposition.

Greek ἡμέρας and Syriac ܐܝܡܡܐ (root y-m-m, 'daytime') both follow 'night'; the Vulgate die precedes nocte owing to the reversed Latin sequence noted above. The Syriac 'day' is fused with its conjunction into token 3.

Greek ἐν τοῖς μνήμασιν ('in the tombs', plural with article) is matched by Vulgate in monumentis (plural). The Syriac uses a construct phrase ܒܒܝܬ ܩܒܘܪܐ ('in the house of burial', i.e. the burial place), a characteristic Semitic periphrasis built on root q-b-r for a single collective locale rather than a bare plural.

Greek imperfect ἦν and Vulgate erat express durative past existence with a single finite verb; the Syriac uses the compound ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ('he was', existential particle plus auxiliary h-w-a), a periphrastic construction expressing the same continuous-past sense.

Greek present participle κράζων and Latin clamans render the durative 'crying out' adverbially; Syriac ܘܩܥܐ ܗܘܐ ('and he was crying out') resolves the participle into a finite verb with the auxiliary ܗܘܐ, a construction-level shift from participial to coordinated-finite syntax.

Greek κατακόπτων ('cutting down/gashing') and Latin concidens both use a participle; the Syriac ܘܡܨܠܦ (root ts-l-p, 'to gash/lacerate') again resolves to a coordinated verb. The conjunction is prefixed to the Syriac verb at token 11.
