Greek doubles the noun πρασιαὶ πρασιαὶ ('garden-plot by garden-plot'), a Semitic distributive reduplication that the Peshitta faithfully reproduces with ܣܡܟܝܢ ܣܡܟܝܢ ('groups, groups'). The Vulgate flattens this distributive idiom to a single noun in partes, losing the reduplicative force.

Greek uses the distributive preposition κατά repeated before each numeral; Latin distributes this sense across in and per rather than a single recurring preposition, while the Peshitta expresses distribution through reduplication of the numerals rather than any preposition.

The Peshitta renders 'hundred' with a reduplicated pair ܕܡܐܐ ܡܐܐ ('by hundreds, hundreds'), continuing the Semitic distributive pattern, whereas Greek ἑκατόν and Latin centenos use a single distributive numeral form.

As with 'hundred', the Peshitta reduplicates ܘܕܚܡܫܝܢ ܚܡܫܝܢ ('and by fifties, fifties') to convey the distributive sense, while Greek πεντήκοντα and Latin quinquagenos employ a single numeral form.
