Greek uses the appositional article + numeral ὁ εἷς ('the one'); the Vulgate renders unus and the Peshitta ܚܕ without the determinative article. The Greek arthrous construction marks Judas specifically as 'the one of the Twelve,' a nuance the other versions leave implicit.

Greek ἀρχιερεῖς ('chief priests') is a single compound noun; the Peshitta renders it analytically as ܪܒܝ ܟܗܢܐ ('chiefs of the priests') and the Vulgate as summos sacerdotes ('high priests'). Both versions unpack the Greek compound into a construct/adjectival phrase reflecting the same office.

The Peshitta makes the object explicit by adding ܠܝܫܘܥ ('Jesus'), specifying whom Judas would betray.
