Greek τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ ('his head') and Latin caput ejus explicitly name the object brought; the Peshitta omits any word for 'head', leaving the object implicit and recoverable only from context, a typical Syriac economy where the previously mentioned object is not repeated.

Greek πίνακι (dative, 'on a platter') and Latin disco both treat the vessel as a separate prepositional object, whereas the Syriac ܒܦܝܢܟܐ — itself a loanword from Greek πίναξ — incorporates the preposition ܒ ('on/in') proclitically into a single token.

The Clementine Vulgate inserts a colon after disco to mark the syntactic boundary between the two clauses; neither the Greek nor the Syriac transmits a corresponding punctuation mark at this point.

Greek ἔδωκεν and Latin dedit are discrete finite verbs 'he gave'; the Syriac ܘܝܗܒ again fuses the conjunction and the verb into one waw-prefixed form, so its index coincides with the preceding 'and' group.

Greek αὐτὴν and Latin illud supply an explicit pronominal direct object ('it', referring to the head); the Syriac leaves the object unexpressed, consistent with its earlier omission of the noun 'head'.

Greek repeats the explicit object αὐτὴν ('it') in the second clause; both the Latin and the Syriac omit a resumptive pronoun here, the Latin relying on dedit alone and the Syriac on the feminine verb ܝܗܒܬ to carry the sense.
