Greek uses a single participle ἀκυροῦντες ('making void'); the Peshitta resolves this into a periphrastic finite construction ܘܡܣܠܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ('and you reject/despise'), supplying the explicit pronominal subject ܐܢܬܘܢ. The Syriac root s-l-y carries the nuance of contempt rather than the Greek/Latin legal sense of annulment (rescindentes).

Greek expresses the means with a dative articular noun + possessive (τῇ παραδόσει ὑμῶν); both Latin and Syriac render this with an explicit preposition (per traditionem vestram / ܡܛܠ ܡܫܠܡܢܘܬܐ), the Syriac ܡܛܠ functioning causally ('on account of'). The Greek lacks the overt 'your' equivalent in the Syriac, which omits a possessive marked separately.

Greek and Latin use a relative clause (ᾗ παρεδώκατε / quam tradidistis) modifying 'tradition'; the Syriac collapses the relative pronoun into the verbal prefix ܕܐܫܠܡܬܘܢ ('which you delivered'), a typical Syriac relative construction using the proclitic ܕ rather than a separate pronoun.

Greek παρόμοια and Latin similia are adjectives ('like things'); the Peshitta renders this verbally with ܘܕܕܡܝܢ ܠܗܠܝܢ ('which resemble these'), supplying the explicit demonstrative ܠܗܠܝܢ ('to these') as an object of comparison absent from the Greek and Latin.

The pleonastic demonstrative τοιαῦτα ('such') is matched by Latin hujusmodi but has no separate equivalent in the Peshitta, whose ܠܗܠܝܢ already supplies the demonstrative force; the Syriac thus economises the doubled Greek 'like... such'.

Greek ποιεῖτε and Latin facitis are synthetic finite verbs ('you do'); the Peshitta employs the participle plus enclitic pronoun ܥܒܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ, the standard Syriac periphrastic present, paralleling the opening construction of the verse. The paragraph marker (¶) in the Greek edition is editorial and has no textual equivalent.
