Greek NT Καὶ
Vulgate Et

The introductory καί / Et ('and') is rendered explicitly in Greek and Latin; the Peshitta incorporates the conjunction proclitically into ܘܐܘܒܠܘܗܝ ('and they led him'), so no separate token appears. The semantic value is identical.

Greek NT ἀπήγαγον
Peshitta ܘܐܘܒܠܘܗܝ
Vulgate adduxerunt

Greek ἀπήγαγον and Latin adduxerunt are third-person plural verbs without an enclitic object; the Peshitta ܘܐܘܒܠܘܗܝ (root w-b-l) fuses conjunction, verb, and the pronominal suffix -ohi ('him'), thereby expressing the object pronoun morphologically rather than with the separate article-plus-noun seen in Greek τὸν Ἰησοῦν.

Greek NT τὸν ἀρχιερέα
Peshitta ܩܝܦܐ ܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ
Vulgate summum sacerdotem

Greek τὸν ἀρχιερέα and Latin summum sacerdotem leave the high priest anonymous; the Peshitta inserts the proper name ܩܝܦܐ (Caiaphas) before ܪܒ ܟܗܢܐ ('chief of the priests'), a clarifying harmonisation toward the named figure of the parallel accounts (cf. Matt 26:57). The Syriac thus specifies an identity absent from both the Greek and Latin here.

Greek NT καὶ
Vulgate et convenerunt

Greek καί ('and') links the two clauses; the Vulgate marks this junction with a colon plus et, while the Peshitta again carries the conjunction proclitically on the following verb ܘܐܬܟܢܫܘ, so no discrete coordinating token is emitted on the Syriac side.

Greek NT αὐτῷ
Peshitta ܠܘܬܗ

Greek αὐτῷ and Syriac ܠܘܬܗ ('to him') supply the indirect object indicating to whom the council gathered; the Vulgate convenerunt omits any explicit pronoun, leaving the addressee implicit, a stylistic compression characteristic of the Latin.

Greek NT καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι
Peshitta ܘܣܦܪܐ ܘܩܫܝܫܐ
Vulgate scribæ et

The three traditions list the three groups in differing sequence: Greek has chief priests, elders (πρεσβύτεροι), then scribes (γραμματεῖς); the Vulgate gives priests, scribes (scribæ), then elders (seniores); the Peshitta gives chief priests, scribes (ܘܣܦܪܐ), then elders (ܘܩܫܝܫܐ). The Syriac and Latin agree against the Greek in placing the scribes before the elders.
