Greek opens the second clause with the simple connective καί; both Latin (enim) and Syriac (ܓܝܪ) instead supply an explanatory/causal particle ('for'), making the logical grounding explicit where the Greek leaves it paratactic — a shared interpretive choice of the two versions against the Greek.

Greek indefinite τινες and Latin quidam are pronominal indefinites ('some'); Syriac uses the noun ܐܢܫܐ ('people/men') in a partitive sense, a lexical rather than purely pronominal expression of the indefinite subject.

Greek ἥκασιν is a perfect indicative ('have come'), and Latin venerunt is likewise a perfect; Syriac employs the participle ܐܬܝܐܝܢ ('are come/coming'), reflecting the Syriac tendency to render the Greek perfect of state by an active participle of present resultative force.
