Greek and Latin both supply a second coordinating conjunction (καί / et) before the verb of beginning; the Peshitta omits an independent conjunction here, the waw being already absorbed into ܘܫܪܝ.

Greek (κηρύσσειν) and Latin (prædicare) render the complement as an infinitive governed by the verb of beginning, whereas the Peshitta uses an active participle ܡܟܪܙ, the normal Syriac construction after ܫܪܝ ('began'), expressing ongoing proclamation.

Greek ὅσα and Latin quanta are plural relatives ('how many things'); the Peshitta uses the singular indefinite ܡܕܡ ('what / whatever thing'), a collective idiom covering the same range of deeds without explicit plural morphology.

The high stop after Ἰησοῦς in the Greek (·) and the explicit colon in the Vulgate mark the clause boundary before the crowd's reaction; the Peshitta carries no separate punctuation token, relying on the waw of ܘܟܠܗܘܢ to signal the new clause.

Greek ἐθαύμαζον and Latin mirabantur are single imperfect finite verbs expressing continuous amazement; the Peshitta renders this periphrastically with participle plus enclitic perfect of 'to be' (ܬܡܝܗܝܢ ܗܘܘ), the standard Syriac equivalent of the Greek imperfect.
