Greek expresses 'in his house' fully with conjunction, preposition, article, noun, and pronoun (καὶ ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ αὐτοῦ); the Peshitta compresses the entire clause into the single inflected word ܘܒܒܝܬܗ (waw + preposition + 'house' + 3ms suffix), and the Vulgate uses et in domo sua, both economising on the Greek's analytic structure.
