Greek NT ὁ σκώληξ αὐτῶν
Peshitta ܕܬܘܠܥܗܘܢ
Vulgate vermis eorum

Greek expresses 'their worm' analytically with article + noun + genitive pronoun (ὁ σκώληξ αὐτῶν), and the Vulgate mirrors this with vermis eorum; the Peshitta synthesises the whole phrase into a single inflected word ܕܬܘܠܥܗܘܢ bearing the relative particle, the noun, and the 3mp possessive suffix — a typical Syriac morphological compression of a periphrastic Greek construction.

Greek NT καὶ
Peshitta ܘܢܘܪܗܘܢ
Vulgate et

The conjunction is here fused with the following noun in Syriac: ܘܢܘܪܗܘܢ carries the proclitic waw ('and'), the noun 'fire', and the 3mp suffix 'their'. Greek καί and Latin et stand as discrete conjunctions, and notably neither the Greek nor the Latin attaches a possessive to 'fire' (τὸ πῦρ / ignis, 'the fire'), whereas the Peshitta reads 'their fire' in parallel with 'their worm'.

Greek NT τὸ πῦρ
Peshitta ܘܢܘܪܗܘܢ
Vulgate ignis

Greek marks the noun with the neuter article τὸ πῦρ; Latin ignis and the Syriac noun (subsumed in ܘܢܘܪܗܘܢ) are anarthrous. The article is a syntactic feature of Greek with no formal equivalent required in Latin or Syriac, so the difference is purely grammatical.

Greek NT σβέννυται
Peshitta ܕܥܟܐ
Vulgate extinguitur

All three render the present passive/intransitive 'is not quenched': Greek σβέννυται (passive, 'is quenched'), Latin extinguitur (passive), and Syriac ܕܥܟܐ (root d-ʿ-k, 'to be extinguished'), the latter retaining the relative particle d- governing the whole clause. Semantically equivalent; the divergence is one of voice-expression and the Syriac relative linkage.
