Greek uses a finite aorist ἐξῆλθεν ('he went out'); the Vulgate renders this with a deponent perfect periphrasis egressus est, while the Peshitta packs the conjunction and verb into a single prefixed form ܘܢܦܩ (root n-p-q, cognate with Hebrew יָצָא). The Peshitta verb is shared with the conjunction group, but the lexical sense is equivalent across all three.

Greek πᾶς ὁ ὄχλος ('all the crowd') is rendered with the enclitic conjunction omnisque turba in the Vulgate, and ܘܟܠܗ ܟܢܫܐ in the Peshitta where the conjunction, the quantifier (root k-w-l), and the noun (root k-n-sh, 'gathered assembly') are compactly joined. All three preserve the distributive 'whole crowd' sense.

Greek imperfect ἤρχετο ('was coming') conveys durative action; the Vulgate matches with the imperfect veniebat, while the Peshitta employs the analytic past-continuous construction ܐܬܝܢ ܗܘܘ (participle + auxiliary h-w-a), the standard Syriac means of expressing iterative or progressive past, semantically equivalent to the Greek imperfect.

Greek imperfect ἐδίδασκεν ('he was teaching') is again matched by the Vulgate imperfect docebat, whereas the Peshitta uses the analytic construction ܡܠܦ ܗܘܐ (participle of root m-l-p + auxiliary h-w-a), the customary Syriac periphrasis for durative past action. The Peshitta verbal noun shares the conjunction index with the prior group.
