Greek expresses the indirect object with a substantivised aorist participle (τοῖς πιστεύσασιν, 'those who believed'); the Vulgate unpacks this into a relative clause with a perfect subjunctive (eos qui crediderint); the Peshitta likewise employs a relative construction ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ with the participle ('to those who believe'). Semantically equivalent, syntactically divergent renderings of the participial idea.

Greek παρακολουθήσει ('will follow alongside, attend') is a compound conveying close accompaniment; the Vulgate sequentur and the Peshitta ܢܩܦܢ ('will follow/cling to') both render the simple notion of following without the intensifying preverb of the Greek compound.

Greek γλώσσαις and Vulgate linguis place the noun asyndetically at the head of the clause; the Peshitta prefixes the conjunctive waw and preposition in ܘܒܠܫܢܐ ('and with tongues'), supplying a connective absent in the Greek and Latin and rendering the noun in the singular as a collective.

The attributive adjective 'new' (καιναῖς / novis / ܚܕܬܐ) is post-posed after the verb in Greek and Latin (γλώσσαις ... καιναῖς; linguis ... novis), whereas the Peshitta places ܚܕܬܐ immediately after its head noun ܘܒܠܫܢܐ, reflecting standard Syriac noun-adjective order.
