Greek θορυβεῖσθε and Latin turbamini are synthetic medio-passive 2nd-person plural forms; the Peshitta employs an analytic construction, the active participle ܪܗܝܒܝܢ plus the enclitic pronoun ܐܢܬܘܢ ('you are agitated'), the normal Syriac strategy for present-tense person marking.

Greek κλαίετε and Latin ploratis are finite 2nd-person plural verbs; the Peshitta uses the participle ܒܟܝܢ governed by the single shared enclitic ܐܢܬܘܢ from the prior clause, and the Vulgate alone marks the interrogative force with a closing question mark (token 9).

Greek uses the neuter diminutive τὸ παιδίον ('the little child') with the article; the Vulgate renders puella ('girl'), specifying feminine gender, and the Peshitta ܛܠܝܬܐ likewise is the feminine 'little girl,' both versions making explicit the female sex left grammatically neuter in the Greek diminutive.

Greek ἀπέθανεν is a simple aorist indicative; the Peshitta ܡܝܬܬ is a finite perfect (feminine, agreeing with the girl); the Vulgate builds a periphrastic perfect est mortua ('has died/is dead'), distributing the sense over copula plus participle.

Greek καθεύδει and Latin dormit are single finite present verbs; the Peshitta uses the participle ܕܡܟܐ plus the enclitic feminine pronoun ܗܝ ('she is sleeping'), again preferring the analytic participle-plus-pronoun present typical of Syriac and agreeing with the feminine subject.
